Italian flavors in Tashkent: CIUZ Members Sarba and Interra Advisory present Italian products for the Uzbek market

On February 16, a gastronomic presentation was held at Affresco Restaurant in Tashkent, organized by CIUZ members Sarba International and Interra Advisory.

The event spotlighted two iconic products of the Italian culinary tradition — pasta and extra virgin olive oil — represented respectively by the brands Pasta Mancini and Olio Roi.

The presentation opened with institutional greetings by H.E. Ambassador Guido De Sanctis, CIUZ Representative in Tashkent Oybek Irgashev, and Timur Musin, representing the Association of Uzbek Restaurateurs. Participants were introduced to the history of these two Italian companies and the journey that led to their importation into Uzbekistan. The event continued with guided tastings, allowing guests to experience the quality of the products firsthand. A prize game concluded the evening, with a selection of Italian gourmet products awarded to participants.

Events such as this demonstrate the growing interest of the Uzbek market in Italian food and wine excellence and contribute to strengthening trade relations, which in recent years have recorded a steady increase in bilateral exchange in the sector.

According to ISTAT data, Italian exports to Uzbekistan increased from €5.6 million to €11.1 million between 2022 and 2024, with a further upward trend in 2025, which by October has already exceeded €12 million in exports.

In this context, the ministerial mission led by the Italian Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, scheduled for March 23–24, will represent an important opportunity to consolidate institutional dialogue and foster new prospects for cooperation between companies in the two countries.
