On January 21, the concert of the Soloists of the Academy for Advanced Training of Opera Singers was held at Teatro alla Scala.
Among the evening’s leading performers was Akilbek Piyazov, an Uzbek baritone, who performed two arias, one from La Gioconda by Ponchielli and one from Linda di Chamounix by Donizetti. Piyazov is one of twelve singers selected by the Academy in 2025 from over 800 applications. He will be under contract with the prestigious Milanese theatre until 2027.
We extend our best wishes to Akilbek Piyazov, who represents an Uzbek excellence on the international opera scene and a meaningful example of cultural dialogue between Uzbekistan and Italy through music.
