Guido De Sanctis is the new Ambassador of Italy in Tashkent

The Italy–Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce wishes to extend its congratulations to H.E. Guido De Sanctis, who was appointed Ambassador of Italy to Tashkent on January 5.

Ambassador De Sanctis has a thirty-year diplomatic career, with postings in Ukraine, Switzerland, Libya, Qatar, Russia, and Albania. In 2017, he also headed the Unit for the Russian Federation, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Central Asia within the Directorate General for Political and Security Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

CIUZ has already initiated coordination with Ambassador De Sanctis to support the activities of Italian companies in Uzbekistan and promote the development of economic cooperation. In this context, the Ambassador spoke at the opening of the “Uzbekistan Country Presentation,” organized by the CIUZ at the Chamber of Deputies, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening Italy–Uzbekistan relations in the political, economic, and cultural spheres.

CIUZ reiterates its willingness to actively collaborate with the Italian Embassy in Tashkent and extends its best wishes to H.E. Guido De Sanctis for success in his new role.
