CIUZ signs a new agreement with the Uzbekistan Food Industry Association

On Saturday, May 9, a new partnership agreement was signed in Tashkent between the Italy-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce – CIUZ, represented by President Giorgio Veronesi, and the Uzbekistan Food Industry Association – UFIA, represented by Chairman Bakhodir Umirshaikhov.

The aim of the agreement is to promote the production, trade, processing, and export of agricultural and food products, as well as the development and implementation of joint projects to achieve these objectives through financial support, the creation of joint ventures, and other forms of cooperation.

This agreement represents a further step forward in the collaboration between Italy and Uzbekistan in the agri-food sector, which has significantly strengthened in recent months, starting with the ministerial mission led by Francesco Lollobrigida and the Italy–Central Asia Business Forum held at the end of March.

With this new agreement, the Chamber reaffirms its commitment to creating and developing commercial relations in the food sector between Italian and Uzbek companies. Among the upcoming initiatives for the sector are the Italian Food Days, a business-to-business event dedicated to agri-food, agri-tech, and food processing, organized by CIUZ and scheduled to take place in Tashkent on June 10–11.
