From September 29 to October 2, the CIUZ organized a business trip to Uzbekistan for its member Misano SpA, a company specializing in the wholesale trade of refractories, electrodes, ceramic products, and graphite materials for the steel industry.
The delegation was accompanied by Giuseppe Ferrario, Executive Vice President of the Chamber, and Oybek Irgashev, CIUZ Representative in Tashkent, who provided support in organizing and conducting institutional and business meetings.
The agenda began with an official visit to the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade in Tashkent, followed by meetings in the capital with Bakhodir Abdullayev, CEO of Uzmetkombinat, and Gulbakhor Baxodirovna, Head of the Uzbekistan Metallurgy Association. The mission concluded with a visit to the Syrdarya Free Economic Zone and to companies of the B.A. Holding Group, to explore potential partnerships with Guzal Baxodirovna, Director of Business Development.
After completing the trip with Misano, Giuseppe Ferrario continued his activities in Tashkent with a series of institutional meetings aimed at strengthening and expanding the Chamber’s collaborations. These included a visit to the Embassy of Italy in Tashkent, a meeting with Alisher Shaykhov, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, and a meeting at the Uzbek Textile and Apparel Industry Association (Uztextileprom), where Ferrario met Doniyor Khabibullaev, Head of the Project Monitoring Department, and Djasur Rustambekov, Vice President.
These meetings represented an important opportunity to discuss new prospects for economic and institutional cooperation between Italy and Uzbekistan.
