The concert organized by the Italy Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (CIUZ) with the support of the Italian Embassy in Tashkent and of the sponsor companies ASCO Pompe SpA, Eurotecnica SpA and Graf SpA, was held on September 17 in Tashkent in the Torkistan Concert Hall, the most important of Uzbekistan.
The event was postponed of one day due to logistic problems faced by one of players, but in spite of the inconvenience and the late notice, that required a last minute rush to inform the public, was very well attended.
The concert saw the participation of the pianist Ludovico Troncanetti from Italy, the bass singer Janisbek Piyazov and the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan, conducted by maestro Alibek Kabdurakhmanov.
The program included various opera and popular pieces from Italy and Uzbekistan and a tribute to Camille Saint-Saëns, on occasion of his 100 year anniversary, which happened in 2021 and was not celebrated last year as required due to the pandemic.
The event was graced by the participation of the Italian Ambassador, H.E Agostino Pinna, many distinguished guest and music fans, that showed a great appreciation for the performance of the artists.
CIUZ would like to thank the Italian Embassy in Tashkent and the sponsors, its member companies Asco Pompe, Eurotecnica and Graf, that share the chamber’s project of promotion of the exchange between the two countries, not only in the commercial and industrial sectors, but also in the cultural field.
CIUZ is working actively to organize more activities in the music, arts and academic sectors, with positive support of Italian and Uzbek institutions.
